My publishing career began in Sales and Marketing with major NY trade publishers (Simon & Schuster, Crown Publishers, and Random House,) over 30 years ago.

Those years of pitching up to 1200 books each selling season, two and at times three seasons a year, to intelligent and market-savvy buyers in bookstores across the country, combined with the experience of providing and applying feedback to in-house editors and marketing departments has equipped me with a literary ear and very practical commercial instincts to employ for your project.

Seeing hundreds of well published books succeed or fail accidentally created the instincts for positioning your book in an ever-changing marketplace.

Years of selling for hours in 30-second pitches makes me the perfect collaborator for a writer who can write 75,000 words but is paralyzed at the thought of writing 25. Distilling your work into effective short content is a specialty and as a COMP title, logline, and metadata specialist I can produce the content you need for book pages, back cover content, and advertising.

I also specialize as a developmental editor with 20 years of working with all genres of books for editing, manuscript analysis, and coaching.
